The Rainbow Music Hall, Denver, CO, USA 25th June 1980 STEREO SBD
★UPGRADE!!!
The revolutionary album “BRITISH STEEL” showed the prototype of new music heavy metal and declared “steel god” to the whole world. The symbolic sound board, which can be said to be the live edition, has been upgraded! Press CDs with the ultimate sound engraved on them are urgently imported from overseas!
[An evolution of the greatest full SBD in the history of steel!]
The permanent preservation of this work is the “Denver performance on June 25, 1980”. It is a superb stereo soundboard recording. This recording has long been known as the “best and strongest soundboard of the BRITISH STEEL Tour” and is a classic that has produced many existing groups. The best of them were the official versions of our already released “DEFINITIVE DENVER 1980” and the 50th anniversary box, but this work is the ultimate version that is better than either of them!
The essential recording time/sound is very similar to the official version. The previous DEFINITIVE DENVER 1980 was called the “best masterpiece of leaked soundboards,” but this work is even more solid, thick, and tight. When listening to the original, the previous version, which has a more voluminous sound, seems flashier, but that was probably the balance that was created. The previous version had a piercing feeling to the vocals’ sa row (sa, sis, se, so), but this new master does not even have such a modest distortion.
[Ultimate quality that is more lustrous and beautiful than the official version]
Such a sound is very similar to the version included in the official box “50 HEAVY METAL YEARS OF MUSIC”, but this work exceeds the official version. It is a fine noise. If you have any previous releases (including the official version), please listen to “Victim Of Changes” or “The Green Manalishi” with headphones. You will notice a small abnormal sound such as “Ziri” and “Pup” around “5:00” and “5:40” for “Victim Of Changes” and around “3:15-3:20” for “The Green Manalishi”. This is a noise that is not only in the previous release but also in the official version, but this work is beautifully arranged.
Perhaps those who have already confirmed it may think, “I didn’t notice such a small noise.” It’s certainly a small story compared to the upgrade of the overall sound, but historical masterpieces and masterpieces require the ultimate form. The Denver performance sound board is also the ultimate live album where even upgrading the needle tip is important (the above are the improvements we noticed in our shop, but there may be more).
[A historic full-length concert that spread the Steel God Manifesto to the world]
The “BRITISH STEEL Tour” that turned history upside down is depicted with such quality beyond the official. Let’s look back on the historical full set here.

… and so on. Speaking of “BRITISH STEEL,” “Breaking the Law,” “Living After Midnight,” and “Metal Gods” are the three major classic songs, but in fact, neither “Breaking the Law” nor “Metal Gods” were performed in 1980. Instead (?), rare songs such as “You Don’t Have To Be Old To Be Wise” and “Steeler” are regular songs. Although the album was released, it has not yet been decided which song will be the representative song … This is also a strong real-time feeling.
Even in the classics, you can enjoy the ensemble that was tightened by Dave Holland’s drumming, and especially “Genocide” and “Running Wild” are rare songs that have been sealed for more than 20 years. And the best one is “Steeler”. After this tour, it was not played for 29 years until the album reproduction tour in 2009. It gives you a taste of the trance feeling of that endless riff with the band’s potential at that time.
When was the birth of heavy metal? It is an eternal question that has not been answered for decades. When THE BEATLES shouted “Helter Skelter”, when STEPPENWOLF described the sound of a motorcycle engine as “heavy metal thunder”, when the bells of “Black Sabbath” rang out… There were many theories, but it was certainly “BRITISH STEEL” that was the deciding factor. The artwork, lyrics, and fashion all strongly pushed out “heavy metal”, and it slammed down “This is heavy metal!” No matter where you start, “BRITISH STEEL = metal” is unshakable.
This work is the stage version of such a monumental album era. It goes beyond the dimension of a one-band masterpiece and is the most important live album in the music genre “Heavy Metal”. It is the ultimate album that has updated its highest peak and surpassed the official one. It will be exclusively imported from overseas!
★The ultimate stereo soundboard recording of the “June 25, 1980 Denver performance”. This new master is thicker, meatier and tighter than the previous “DEFINITIVE DENVER 1980”, and the highest quality update is without even the slight noise of “Victim Of Changes” and “The Green Manalishi”, which were unavoidable even in the official version of the 50th anniversary box. This is the ultimate evolution of the historical masterpiece, which can be said to be the stage version of the revolutionary album “BRITISH STEEL”.
