Description
Pressed in a limited edition on black and grey splatter vinyl, this unofficial LP collects Joy Division’s live recordings from 1978-1979. A couple of tracks – “Shadowplay” and “Interzone” – would have appeared on the Salford band’s first LP “Unknown Pleasures”, “Transmission” was released as a single in 1979 with “Novelty” as the B-side, “Warsaw” on the 1978 EP “An Ideal For Living” along with “The Leaders Of Men”, “Failures” and “No Love Lost”, “Ice Age” was recorded during the “Licht und Blindheit” single sessions while “The Drawback” is another of the tracks that should have appeared on the band’s debut album when it was still called Warsaw (as is “They Walked In Line”, performed here live by Ian Curtis, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris when they still called themselves that).
