Description
The Road House label reproduces in its entirety on an unofficial CD the concert that Johnny Winter held at Parr Meadows in Yaphank (near Brookhaven, New York) on September 8, 1979, on the occasion of the celebrations of the tenth anniversary of the Woodstock festival (the source is the radio broadcast of the time). The songs proposed in his set by the Texan guitarist and singer are all covers, performing standards written or made famous by Freddie King, Junior Wells (with and without Buddy Guy), Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson, Hambone Willie Newbern, Sonny Boy Williamson, Sippie Wallace (and Elmore James), the Rolling Stones and Larry Williams.
