Description
Between 1985 and 1991, John Fogerty enjoyed a triumphant comeback, reprising the extraordinary energy of his Creedence Clearwater Revival heyday, a powerful, undiminished voice, and a fresh repertoire. This unofficial LP, released by Homespun, draws on three separate live recordings from those years: the May 31, 1985, “Showtime Special” television appearance with guests at A&M Studios in Los Angeles; the November 26, 1989, Earthquake Relief Concert at the Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center in Oakland; and the November 3, 1991, Bill Graham Tribute performance at Polo Fields in San Francisco. The setlist includes pieces from “Centerfield” (Rock ‘N’ Roll Girls), the then unreleased “There’s No Lovin’ You”), covers of the spiritual “Mary Don’t You Weep” and standards by Ray Charles, Bo Diddley and Muddy Waters as well as Creedence hits (“Born On The Bayou”, “Green River”, “Bad Moon Rising”, “Proud Mary”)
