JOHN COLTRANE – LIVE AT BIRDLAND 1962

Description

A coupling of the February 17th and June 2nd 1962 live performances at Birdland in New York!
In the 2000s, Pablo released a 7-disc set called “LIVE TRANE” in which the February 10th Birdland performance was recorded on Disc 2, but for some reason it was miscredited. As a result, if you have that Pablo disc and this one, you will have a clean and simple set of the three Birdland performances in 1962 that are currently available. The February 17th performance, recorded in the first half, features Eric Dolphy, and the June 2nd performance, recorded in the second half, is performed by the Golden Quartet! Limited numbering included (stamped on the back of the jacket)
