Parachute is releasing an unofficial double LP of the concert (already released on CD) that Joe Bonamassa held on May 1, 2005 in Rheinberg, Germany, during a mini European tour organized to promote his fourth studio album, “Had To Cry Today”, which had been released in stores the previous year. The vintage radio recording, concluded by an interview with the singer, composer and guitarist from New Hartford (New York state) made in 2022, allows us to enjoy the entire concert in which, accompanied by the rhythm section composed of Eric Czar (electric bass) and Kenny Kramme (drums), Bonamassa performs only one song from his latest album (“The River”, composed by him with Bob Held) and fills the rest of the setlist with covers: “Jesus Left Chicago” by ZZ Top in medley with his “Takin’ The Hit”, “A New Day Yesterday” by Jethro Tull, “Blues Deluxe” by Jeff Beck (and Rod Stewart), “You Upset Me Baby” by BB King, “Burning Hell” by John Lee Hooker (all three included in the 2003 album “Blues Deluxe”) and “Spanish Castle Magic” by Jimi Hendrix.
