Description

~A rare recording of the Liverpool performance from the ‘THE OH GAWD, NOT ANOTHER TOUR’ in September 1982, captured in excellent stereo audience recording quality!~

After completing their sixth American tour in May 1982, and their third and final Japan tour in June, they held a triumphant return performance in London, followed by a total of 13 performances from September to October as part of the ‘THE OH GAWD, NOT ANOTHER TOUR’. This rare recording captures the sixth performance of that tour, held on September 25, 1982, at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool, captured in excellent stereo audience recording quality!

Digitally transferred from a low-generation master, this recording boasts a fairly good, stable, and clear sound quality for its time. While the stereo separation is somewhat weak, the vocals are prominent and each part is well-balanced.

Furthermore, pitch discrepancies originating from the master have been carefully corrected and the recording has been remastered. Tape changes were made during the intervals after “Smithers-Jones” and “The Gift” before the encore, ensuring that all tracks are included without any omissions.

The recording begins with the opening announcement introducing the band, and features a setlist of 26 songs, including the lead single “Town Called Malice” and its B-side “Precious,” which topped the UK charts, as well as tracks from their final studio album, “The Gift,” allowing you to fully enjoy this superb performance!
