The complete soundboard recording of the Jackson Browne and David Lindley duo concert held at “Main Point” at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania on September 7, 1975, is finally here! This legendary live performance, which kicked off the Late For The Sky tour that began in the fall of 1974, has been widely recorded, and fans have likely heard it more than once or twice, but this release is the definitive edition. The duo section, which primarily features Jackson’s songs, utilizes an astonishingly high-quality stereo soundboard master that surpasses any previously released recording. Furthermore, meticulous digital remastering has refined the recording to a vivid acoustic sound that is hard to believe was recorded over 30 years ago. Because a stereo soundboard master is currently unavailable for Lindley’s solo part in the middle section, a mono soundboard master is used. While the sound quality is slightly lower in that section, it still offers a remarkable sound quality that sets it apart from previous recordings of the same part. This definitive album perfectly recreates a special live performance in a relaxed atmosphere, a departure from the usual band tour, featuring Layla’s theme riff, “Pipeline,” and more. The sound quality is also excellent, making this a highly recommended album!
