Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ, USA 4th July 1985 STEREO SBD/PRO-SHOT

★UPGRADE!!!
Hall & Oates, whose golden age was marked by the big hit of “BIG BAM BOOM,” presents the ultimate set of soundboards and pro shots that convey the highlight performances.
The highlight performance was “THE LIBERTY CONCERT” held at Liberty State Park on July 4, 1985. This is a three-disc set with the stereo soundboard recording on DISC 1-2 and multi-camera pro shots on DISC 3. While this day was a special event, it was also part of the heyday of the “BIG BAM BOOM Tour.” First, let’s take a look at the overview of the activities at that time and get closer to the position of this work.

· February 27th – March 18th: Europe (16 shows)

· July 13th: Appeared at Live Aid
This is Hall & Oates in 1984/1985. “North America #1/2/3” and “Japan #2” are the “BIG BAM BOOM Tour.” The appearance of “THE LIBERTY CONCERT” in this work was the final day of such a world tour. This day was also American Independence Day, and the show itself was an outdoor charity concert to support the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. It was also nine days before the largest event of the 20th century, “LIVE AID.”
Such a stage was a big event, and it was broadcast live on “Westwood One” and on TV. It was also officially released as a video work, “THE LIBERTY CONCERT.” This work is the definitive set that includes the sound board and pro shots of such a historic concert as the best master. Now, let’s introduce the live album and video edition separately.
[DISC 1-2: Newly excavated pre-FM reel master recording of the complete program]
The main focus of this work is a stereo soundboard recording of the complete monumental concert. As mentioned above, this show was also broadcast on radio at “Westwood One,” but the latest, highest-quality updated master is used in this work. This is a pre-FM reel master recently released by the prestigious “Krw_co.”
The master quality, which has not even been broadcast, is excellent, but what is even more shocking is that it is a complete version. It is not just the complete form of the show. The entire broadcast at that time, including the commercials, is recorded in its entirety. In fact, this show was a special broadcast by the famous DJ George Taylor Morris, and it started before the show even began. The program built up anticipation for the historic show and then abruptly launched into the full show. This work also includes a 32-minute pre-show part.
Of course, the main focus is the full concert. This is also fully recorded over 114 minutes, which is much longer than the official video described below. Let’s compare the golden full set here.
●Big Bang Boom (6 songs)
Dance on Your Knees / Out of Touch / Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid / Possession Obsession / Method of Modern Love / Going Thru the Motions (★)
●Other (12 songs)

*Note: Songs marked with “★” are only included in the live album edition (DISC 1-2).
[DISC 3: Best Master of Out-of-Print Official Footage]
Following this full soundboard is a multi-camera pro-shot version of the same show. This is the best master. Its true identity is the official video “THE LIBERTY CONCERT,” which was discontinued in the 1980s and has not yet been officially digitized.
Of course, its quality is the best currently available. Our shop has digitized and archived many out-of-print videos, but this know-how has also been utilized in this work, and the reproduced visual beauty is completely official.
You might think, “Since the original is an official product, it’s obviously of official quality,” but in the case of this work, it’s not “official quality at the time.” It has achieved a transcendent visual beauty that is beautiful even when viewed with modern eyes in the heyday of digital. Even if the original master tape remained in the official warehouse, I wonder if it could withstand 40 years of aging and retain the quality of this work… It’s such a beautiful visual beauty that it makes you worry.
Looking back at history, the “BIG BAM BOOM Tour” has been described as the end of their heyday and the final show of their career. This is the ultimate definitive edition, packed with the highlights of the final show. The live album (DISC 1-2) brings everything from the day back to life using pre-FM reel masters, while the video (DISC 3) is a polished, musical work. This big set allows you to enjoy both at the highest quality currently possible. A 3-disc set that will truly become a cultural heritage. Enjoy to your heart’s content.
★A three-disc set featuring stereo soundboard recordings and multi-camera pro shots from “The Liberty Concert, July 4, 1985.” The live album (Discs 1-2) features the complete 146-minute broadcast (including pre-show footage) from a recently unearthed pre-FM master reel. The video (Disc 3) features out-of-print official videos digitized from the best masters. This ultimate three-disc set is packed with highlights from the “BIG BAM BOOM Tour,” which marked the end of their heyday.
