[An upgraded master created by an overseas enthusiast]
This is Hall & Oates from 1979/1980. Their first visit to Japan, “Japan #1,” was realized about six months after the release of “X-STATIC,” but this work was released about three months later. It was the 38th performance of “North America #1,” which was also the main event of the world tour.
This stage is also famous for being broadcast on television and radio. It was also a classic that gave birth to numerous pre-releases. This work is a new master that has brought the highest peak to the forefront. The key is the polishing through remastering. Although it was produced by an overseas enthusiast, the finish is exquisite. Noise reduction, sharpness, color correction (brightness, contrast, lighting, color level)… everything has been reborn. As expected, the analog feel of the image itself remains, but the skill of brushing it up while maximizing the natural feel is truly impressive.
[The ultimate, complete version, with unreleased songs included]
Another key point is that it has been expanded to include the full show. As mentioned above, this show is broadcast not only on TV but also on radio. This work adds three songs that were omitted from the TV version (of course, the supplementary parts are not video, but are connected by still images). So, which songs are supplemented? Finally, let’s check the full set.
●Akai Fault (4 songs)
Don’t Blame It On Love (★) / It’s A Laugh / Serious Music (★*) / Pleasure Beach (★)
●Modern Pop (4 songs)
The Woman Comes And Goes (★) / Wait For Me / Bebop-Drop (★) / Intravino
●Other (6 songs +α)
Abbandando Luncheonette: Las Vegas Turnaround (*) / She’s Gone
Rock ‘n’ Soul: Rich Girl / Do What You Want, Be What You Are
Other: Sweet Soul Music / Glad to Be Here (★) / Sara Smile / Room to Breathe (*)
*Note: Songs marked with “★” are not performed after the “X-STATIC Tour”. Songs marked with “*” are “still images + audio” only.
…And so it is. The “X-STATIC Tour” is delicious with precious songs and covers that are only available in real time. This is an upgraded version that maximizes the classic pro shots that allow you to enjoy the whole picture. A blissful piece polished with the endless passion of enthusiasts. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
