Description
“Songs recorded at various locations in the UK between 1970 and 1974,” reads a sentence printed on the back cover of the volume. 1 of this “Unreleased Live Collection” by Genesis, an unofficial LP containing seven live and radio-sourced tracks. The setlist includes outtakes from the very early period probably taken from BBC Sessions in 1970 (“Let Us Now Make Love”, “The Shepherd”, “Pacidy”), two tracks from “Trespass” and one from “Foxtrot” plus the famous B-side “Twilight Alehouse” (released in 1974 as the B-side of “I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)” but dating back to a few years earlier: it was performed live until 1972). The credits list as musicians Peter Gabriel (vocals and flute), Phil Collins (drums and vocals), Mike Rutherford (bass and vocals), Anthony Banks (keyboards and vocals), Anthony Phillips (guitar and vocals) and Steve Hackett (lead guitar), even if in the early songs John Mayhew was still on drums.
