GENESIS – SIX SIDES LIVE VOLUME 3 (3 LP)
$97.95
FM BROADCASTS – 3 LP
Description
Unofficially released on the FM Broadcasts label, this limited-edition yellow triple vinyl records the acclaimed “residency” that saw Genesis stop at the Spectrum in Philadelphia for three consecutive dates of the “Mama tour” in late November 1983. In a set mainly focused on the new album and the 80s material, Phil Collins (lead vocals and drums), Tony Banks (keyboards and backing vocals), Mike Rutherford (guitar, bass and backing vocals) and the additional members Daryl Stuermer (guitar, bass and backing vocals) and Chester Thompson (drums) opened the set with “Dodo/Lurker” (perhaps the last prog offshoot of the English group), alongside a 70s medley centered on “In The Cage” and also including portions of “The Cinema Show”, “In That Quiet Earth” and “The Colony Of Slippermen” the percussive festival of “Los Endos” and new warhorses such as “Abacab”, “Mama” and “Turn It On Again”, performed in a final medley in which Collins quotes great rock and soul hits of the 60s.
