Colisee de Quebec, Quebec City, Canada 3rd March 1977 STEREO SBD
★Full debut SBD
The GENESIS soundboard collection has become a historic anomaly with a tremendous rush of new discoveries in both quality and quantity. A new masterpiece, the “WIND & WUTHERING Tour” edition, has been released.
This work is engraved with the “Quebec City Performance on March 3, 1977.” It is a stereo soundboard recording. Perhaps influenced by the production of “SECONDS OUT,” 1977 was a rare era of soundboards in the history of GENESIS. We have archived as many masterpieces as possible in our shop, so let’s take a look at the position of this work from the overview of the activities at that time, including that collection.

This is GENESIS in 1977. The source of the official “SECONDS OUT” was the “UK” leg’s Leicester performance and the “Europe” leg’s Paris performance, but in fact, it was the “North American” leg in between that had the most soundboards. Let’s focus on the dates and take a look at our collection.

…And so it is. It was a hugely productive leg with a lineup of outstanding masterpieces such as the press masterpiece “DALLAS 1977 (Virtuoso 480/481)” and “SAN FRANCISCO 1977 1ST NIGHT (Virtuoso 476/477)”.
This work, which has broken into the mix, is another top-notch masterpiece. Anyone who has experienced even one of this excavation rush will be blown away by the high quality, but this work is exceptional even among them. Its key point is its beauty. While all of the newly excavated series are directly connected to the mix desk, the sound of this work is not “raw” but rather has a lustrous and balanced beauty. The unprocessed feel of the performance is typical of the leaked sound, but the subtle echo gives the performance sound an exquisite luster, and there is also a sense of pouring down that is characteristic of symphonic rock.
The reason for this is probably the matrix. This show has long been known for its audience recording, and this work combines the original master recording. This processing was not done by our shop, but by the person who released the sound source. In fact, many of the newly excavated soundboard series this time connect the missing recording parts with audience recordings, but this work is different from that. It seems to be a matrix that spans the entire story, and the natural listening response without any sense of patchwork is wonderful, and the freshness is uninterrupted. The applause between songs is also realistic, and it ideally combines the vividness of a soundboard with the beauty derived from the audience.
Such a beautiful soundboard depicts the full show of the “WIND & WUTHERING Tour”, which is also the culmination of the Steve Hackett era. Although it is familiar, let’s also re-post a set that is different from “SECONDS OUT”.

Even so, it’s beautiful. The core strength, the fine detail, and the vivid ensemble are clearly the finest soundboards, but the symphonic sound that cannot be achieved by itself melts your heart. It’s a matrix world that is different from pure soundboards and audience recordings, and is different from FM broadcasts and official works. This is one of the new excavation series where you can enjoy a unique sound. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
★Stereo soundboard recording of the “Quebec City performance on March 3, 1977.” This newly unearthed soundboard series, “WIND & WUTHERING Tour,” combines the unprocessed feel of a direct mix table with the beauty of a matrixed audience. This is a new masterpiece that allows you to enjoy a distinctive sound that even incorporates the drenching sensation of symphonic rock.
