However, recent research by enthusiasts has confirmed that the date was July 12. This release is the latest version reflecting that accurate date. 　This is FOGHAT in 1980. The tour in support of “TIGHT SHOES” was a large-scale one, spanning 90 performances, but all of them were concentrated in the United States. The Chicago performance featured on this album is from the early stages of the tour. It was the 19th performance of “US #1,” a prime time when the engine was fully warmed up and tour fatigue hadn’t yet set in.

　This recording, which captures such a show, is a recently released best master, and its sound is a truly pleasant, natural FM sound. Although detailed information about the dubbing generation is not available, it is remarkably fresh, as one would expect from a younger generation. The frequency balance is refined, as is typical of broadcast broadcasts, and Lonesome Dave Peverett’s vocals and Rod Price’s guitar reach the ear without any sense of airiness.
