Limited edition, coloured vinyl pressing on the Iceni label, featuring covers recorded by Elton John when, between 1969 and 1970, he still went by his real name Reg (Reginald) Dwight and recorded versions of famous songs intended for budget-price compilations distributed by the Hallmark/Pickwick label in British department stores such as Woolworths. With voice and piano in the foreground, Elton/Dwight performs current hits and evergreens by artists such as Creedence Clearwater Revival (three songs), Cat Stevens, Fair Weather, Norman Greenbaum, Hollies, Blue Mink, Mungo Jerry, Badfinger, Nicky Thomas and Christie.
