Description

Beacon Theatre, New York, NY, USA 19th October 2010 PRO-SHOT
Elton John and Leon Russell achieved great success with their collaborative album “THE UNION,” which reached No. 3 in the US. Two superb professional shots will be released at the same time as the official release!
This work is a two-disc masterpiece that can be said to be the main part of two simultaneous releases. It is a multi-camera pro shot of the “October 19, 2010 New York performance”. The dream collaboration project was not only an album, but also a tour. This work is a 2 hour 36 minute video epic that allows you to enjoy the full show. In 2010, the two heroes not only toured together, but also each had solo activities in parallel. Let’s look back on the situation at that time with Elton’s schedule, which was particularly busy.
・January 6th + 9th: Solo (2 shows)
“FACE TO FACE 2010 Tour”
・February 3rd – March 11th: Co-starring with B. Joel (12 shows)
“ROCKET MAN/2010 Tour”
・March 21st – October 2nd: Solo (60 shows)
“THE UNION Tour”
*October 16th – November 21st: Co-starring with L. Russell (16 shows) ←★Here★
“ROCKET MAN/2010 Tour”
・December 1st – 15th: Solo (10 shows)
This is Elton John in 2010. While he was also focusing on a full-scale solo tour, he also did the “FACE TO FACE 2010 Tour” with Billy Joel and the “THE UNION Tour” with Leon. The New York performance of this work was the second performance of such a co-starring tour. It was also a special performance on the day of the release of the album “THE UNION”.
Such a show is also known for the broadcast pro shots that were left behind, but this work was made into a DVD from the highest peak HD Best Master. In fact, the quality can only be described as “completely official”. In addition to the image quality and sound quality, the luxurious lighting that is worthy of a dream collaboration, the switching boasting a huge number of angles, the dynamic camera work that wriggles in three dimensions, the perfect sound mix… everything is filled with a sense of work that can be officially released as it is.
The perfect quality is depicted in a precious full show where the two heroes overlap each other. The concert is largely divided into three parts, progressing from “Leon’s solo” to “Co-starring” to “Elton’s solo”. Let’s check out the song selection here.

…And so it goes like this. Both Leon and Elton performed their representative songs from the early 1970s as soloists. In the middle of the show, all 14 songs from “THE UNION” are played in the same order.
It’s truly an “official substitute”. It’s the absolute video of a collaboration project that is as valuable as or more valuable than the studio work “THE UNION”. This is a two-disc set of such iconic pro shots made into a DVD from the best master. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
