Description
Released on the Rockin’ Bear Records label, this unofficial CD collects Doors songs recovered from radio and television programs from 1965 to 1970. The oldest songs date back to two years before the Californian quartet’s recording debut, and this anthology offers well-known songs (the hit “Love Me Two Times”, “The Soft Parade”, “Alabama Song”, “When The Music’s Over”, “The End”) and lesser-known ones: among these “Go Insane”, a pressing song with Ray Manzarek on piano recorded in the group’s first demo from ’65, “Build Me A Woman” (also included in “Absolutely Live”), the outtake of “The Soft Parade” “Someday Soon”, “Texas Radio And The Big Beat” (with the lyrics recited by Jim Morrison accompanied by John Densmore’s drums only) and a cover of the rockabilly classic “Mystery Train”, brought to success by Elvis Presley.
