Description
The very active Homespun is publishing this unofficial CD which reproduces a soundboard recording made by Doors road manager Vince Treanor on June 5, 1970 at the Seattle Center Coliseum for local radio station KUOW-FM. It was the last of the five performances held by the Californian quartet in the city of Washington state, during the promotional tour of the album “Morrison Hotel”: despite technical problems, the restlessness of the audience and the unpredictable behavior of Jim Morrison (who during the performance of “Love Hides” started arguing with the audience about the figure of Adolf Hitler) the band brought home a performance as chaotic as it was magnetic, embellished by the presence in the setlist of a rare and spectral song like “Someday Soon” and covers of “Mystery Train” (Junior Parker/Elvis Presley, with hints of “Baby Please Don’t Go” by Big Joe Williams and “People Get Ready” by Curtis Mayfield) and “Cross Road Blues” (Robert Johnson).
