~A high-quality stereo audience recording of Deborah Harry’s Victoria concert in 1989, shortly after the release of her third solo album, ‘Def, Dumb & Blonde’! ~

This rare recording captures a live performance from October 18, 1989, at the Strathcona Hotel, a traditional Victorian-era hotel located in downtown Victoria, British Columbia, during the ‘Def, Dumb & Blonde’ US and European tour that began in September 1989, just before the release of her third solo album, ‘Def, Dumb & Blonde’, which was produced with the help of many people, including Mike Chapman, who produced her four Blondie albums after she changed her name back to ‘Debbie’.

This recording was digitally transferred directly from the master cassette, resulting in clear and powerful vocals, excellent balance across all parts, and a remarkably clear sound quality for its time.

Pitch discrepancies from the master have been carefully corrected and the recording has been remastered.

Only the first half of “Comic Books” is missing; otherwise, the entire album is included. The setlist features

tracks from their then-new album, “Def, Dumb & Blonde,” including the lead single “I Want That Man,” which reached the top 20 on the UK singles chart and number 2 in Australia, and “Kiss It Better,” which reached the top 15 on the US modern rock chart. They also generously perform Blondie-era hits such as “The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game,” “Heart Of Glass,” and “Call Me,” and the second encore concludes with “French Kissin’ In The USA,” a single from their second album that reached number 8 on the UK charts, and even includes a Velvet Underground classic, “Waiting For My Man.”
