Description

An unofficial LP reissue of rare tracks from David Bowie’s early career, spanning the five-year period from 1966 to 1971, between the time before the release of his first album and his fourth LP, “Hunky Dory,” is back in circulation. The program includes demos, acetates, remixes, performances recorded for television programs and award ceremonies (a live “Space Oddity” performed at the 1970 Ivor Novello Awards), excerpts from the TV movie “Pierrot in Turquoise or the Looking Glass Murders” and the promotional film “Love You Till Tuesday” (including the previously unreleased German version), plus a demo of “Hang On Yourself” recorded in 1971 with the participation of rock and roll star Gene Vincent.
