The Homespun label is reproducing on two unofficial CDs two concerts from the “Outside Tour” that David Bowie undertook in the fall of 1995 in the United States with support from Nine Inch Nails, both taken from radio broadcasts of the time. These are the shows of October 11th at the Riverport Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights (St. Louis), Missouri (broadcast by KLLT-FM) and the one of October 21st at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, which was then broadcast by radio syndication. The two setlists are quite different, with the English artist performing classics and pieces from “Outside,” creating an apocalyptic, noir, industrial, and futuristic sound, and duetting with Trent Reznor and his bandmates on their “Hurt,” “Subteranneans,” “Scary Monsters,” and “Hallo Spaceboy.” The setlist also includes a cover of the Walker Brothers’ “Night Flights.”
