CURE – PALEO FESTIVAL 2019 (4 LP)

Parachute has released two unofficial double vinyl sets of the soundboard recording from The Cure’s July 25, 2019, concert at the historic Paléo Festival in Nyon, Switzerland, where they performed for the third time that year. Robert Smith (vocals and guitar), former Tin Machine member Reeves Gabrels (guitar), Simon Gallup (bass and keyboards), Roger O’Donnell (keyboards), and Jason Cooper (drums) open the show with “Plainsong” (from 1989’s “Disintegration”) and perform 11 other songs on this first volume, spanning a career spanning the 2008 album “4:13 Dream.” Standouts include “Pictures Of You,” “A Night Like This,” “In Between Days,” and “Just Like Heaven.”
