Description
Released on the Dear Boss label, this unofficial, limited-edition LP on white and pink splatter vinyl features a recording of The Cure’s April 15, 1980, concert at Hurrah’s Nightclub in New York City. At that show, which preceded the release of their second album, “Seventeen Seconds,” by three days, Robert Smith (vocals, guitar, and keyboards), Simon Gallup (bass), Lol Tolhurst (drums), and Matthieu Hartley (keyboards) performed “In Your House,” “Play For Today,” “Secrets,” the title track, and “The Forest” (which would go on to become perhaps the band’s most famous song) from the new album, alongside five songs from their debut, “Three Imaginary Boys,” and the two sides of the single, “Boys Don’t Cry”/”Jumping Someone Else’s Train.”
