Description

Pressed by Stylus Groove in a limited, hand-numbered edition (500 copies only on splatter vinyl, each with an exclusive graphic), the unofficial LP “Rock That Casbah!” draws on the radio recording of the famous show held on May 28, 1983, at the US Festival in San Bernardino. Still (briefly) with Mick Jones on guitar and vocals and Pete Howard replacing Topper Headon on drums, the Clash—a quartet also featuring Joe Strummer (vocals, guitar) and Paul Simonon (bass, vocals)—perform tracks from “Sandinista!” (including the rare “The Sound Of Sinners”) and “Combat Rock,” as well as classics from their early period; the package also includes a QR code to download the eBook “Ray Lowry – Rock Satirist,” containing cartoons and illustrations by the famous cartoonist who accompanied the London band on tour.
