Released on the Power Chord label, this unofficial double CD catches Blondie in action just before they exploded onto the international scene: it reproduces a famous concert held at the Paradise Ballroom in Boston on May 27, 1978 during the “Plastic Letters” tour (the New York band’s second album) and broadcast on the radio by local station WBCN-FM. The full setlist mixes songs from that album – including “(I’m Always Touched By Your) Presence Dear”, “Kidnapper” and the cover of “Denis” (a song by the doo wop group Randy & The Rainbows from 1963) – and from the debut LP from two years earlier (the first single “X Offender”, “In The Flesh”, “Rip Her To Shreds”) adding numerous previews from the following “Parallel Lines” such as “Hanging On The Telephone” (a cover of the Nerves), “One Day Or Another”, “Picture This”, “I’m Gonna Love You Too”, “Sunday Girl” and the future mega hit “Heart Of Glass”. A performance of contagious and raw energy set up by Chris Stein (guitar), Jimmy Destri (keyboards), Clem Burke (drums) and Nigel Harrison (bass) and amplified by the charismatic presence of Debbie Harry.
