Description

Black Sabbath’s participation in the 1974 California Jam festival (April 6, Ontario Motor Speedway) has remained in the annals as a highlight of the Birmingham band’s career, still in the original quartet comprising Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Bill Ward (drums). Thanks to this unofficial double LP published by Expensive Woodlands Recordings on transparent vinyl we can listen again to the performance filmed at the time by the radio station KLOS-FM, 13 songs that from the previous “Sabbat Bloody Sabbath” (1973) take “Killing Yourself To Live” and “Sabbra Cadabra” (in two parts) completing the setlist with three pieces from “Vol. 4”, three from “Master Of Reality” and another three from “Paranoid” in addition to the rare “Sometimes I’m Happy”.
