The much-praised “BLACK SABBATH masterpiece” has been polished up! GRAF ZEPPELIN has polished the official master to the ultimate quality, making it a permanent preservation decision!
●A full soundboard that has reached the pinnacle of BLACK SABBATH history
The true identity of this masterpiece is the superb stereo soundboard recording of the “August 5, 1975 Asbury Park Performance.” This is the highest peak update. This soundboard is truly the pinnacle. The sound quality, recording time, and performance quality…all of them are unparalleled and flawless. This is a solitary, pinnacle live album that is unparalleled in any live album in the entire history of Sabbath.
Originally recorded for the famous radio program “King Biscuit Flower Hour,” it has since undergone numerous upgrades over its long history. A full-length version was discovered in 2002, and pre-broadcast masters were subsequently unearthed. The album has continued to evolve. 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the live performance. This work is a “50-year answer” that reexamines countless masters, reselects the best masters, and finishes them with meticulous mastering by “GRAF ZEPPELIN.”
●The champion’s master, re-examined after 50 years
First of all, the most important thing is the foundation, the “highest peak master.” To answer that question, this was our familiar “LIVE LONGEST… DIE AT LAST” master. This time, we also re-examined the masters that appeared afterwards, and also examined the Super Deluxe Edition of “SABOTAGE,” but the “LIVE LONGEST… DIE AT LAST” version was the best. The presence or absence of a drop-down, the precision of the stereo feeling, the amount of noise, the sense of stability… 13 years have passed since the first “LIVE LONGEST… DIE AT LAST” was released, and even today, when it has been officially realized, nothing has surpassed the “LIVE LONGEST… DIE AT LAST” master.
Of course, the show’s contents are also at their peak. The limited-edition songs “Hole In The Sky” and “Megalomania” are only available at the time, and the “Sabbra Cadabra” medley, which lasts for about 45 minutes and includes various classic songs and jams, “Snowblind” and “Spiral Architect” feature Gerald Woodruff’s keyboards, and more. The special feeling of each song is incredible, and the scale of over 100 minutes and the tension that runs throughout the entire show are transcendent.
It cannot be compared to “DEFINITIVE CALIFORNIA JAM 1974”, which was in a state of disrepair due to lack of rehearsal, and it is on a different level from 1976 onwards, when doubts began to arise in activities. The awesomeness of the “SABOTAGE Tour”, which is said to have been more fulfilling than any other tour in the golden 70s, is in full swing.
GRAF ZEPPELIN mastering that embodies the significance of the 50th anniversary
In order to maximize the potential of this master, which has reached the pinnacle of 50 years, meticulous mastering was carried out by GRAF ZEPPELIN. In fact, GRAF ZEPPELIN is a “site sound supreme” that does not use flashy decorative processing, and this time it is the ultimate master from the beginning. There is no big change, but the precision is still unprecedented “extreme.” Pitch / phase does not allow even a 1/1000 second deviation, and noise processing is thorough. This time, even the slightest hiss noise that can only be felt in the silent parts has been cleanly wiped away, and even the tiniest noise that cannot be heard has been removed one by one.
I casually wrote “it can’t be perceived by ear,” but of course I’m not bluffing. If you run it through waveform software, you’ll be able to see the difference visually (if you do, be careful when ripping so that reading errors don’t increase the added noise). In other words, that’s the level of mastering precision this time. Naturally, the noise and distortion that can be heard are noticeable, but they’ve also been thoroughly adjusted to a level that can’t be heard by ear. It’s a finished final version that can be proudly called “the answer to 50 years.” The unparalleled full show is redrawn with an unprecedented sound… This thrill is only allowed for the pinnacle record.
Ozzy Osbourne, Forever
Aiming for “August 5th, the 50th anniversary,” this album uses every technique, from materials to finishes, to raise the heights of the apex soundboard. It’s truly the ultimate album, a “culmination of 50 years.” I never dreamed that this album would become a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. While I didn’t think so, it’s also true that there is no other album more suitable to celebrate the life of a charismatic figure than this one. This two-disc set permanently preserves the unforgettable “Summer of 2025.” Enjoy it anytime, anywhere.
