Description

Pressed in a limited edition on clear vinyl, the unofficial LP “Vacation Time” collects fifteen songs recorded by the Fab Four at Twickenham Studios in January 1969, during the famous “Get Back Sessions” documented by the film “Let It Be” by Michael Lindsay-Hogg and later by the series “The Beatles: Get Back” by Peter Jackson. In addition to “Two Of Us” and unfinished Paul McCartney numbers (“Sorry Miss Molly,” “Teddy Boy,” “Bring Your Own Band”), the setlist includes impromptu versions of Doctor Clayton’s “I Got To Find My Baby,” the Coasters’ “Three Cool Cats,” Richard Barrett’s “Some Other Guy,” Bill Doggett’s “Honky Tonk,” Chuck Berry’s “Vacation Time,” and Gene Vincent’s “Lotta Lovin’,” plus several Buddy Holly numbers (“Maybe Baby,” “Crying Waiting Hoping,” “Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues,” Peggy Sue Got Married” in a medley with Paul and John Lennon’s “Thinking Of Linking,” and “Not Fade Away” in a medley with Duane Eddy’s “Cannonball,” Dee Clark’s “Hey Little Girl (In The High School Sweater”), and Bo Diddley’s “Bo Diddley”).
