Hand-numbered, limited to only 500 copies. The Beatles’ “Unsurpassed Masters” collected on this unofficial LP are 16 tracks culled from archive material and presented in rare and alternate versions, all from the second phase of their career, which began in 1965 with “Rubber Soul.” Here are alternate takes of “Penny Lane,” “Norwegian Wood,” “Lady Madonna,” “Revolution,” “Got To Get You Into My Life,” “Day Tripper,” “Blue Jay Way,” “I Am The Walrus,” “Rain,” “I Want You,” “Across The Universe,” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” (take 1 recorded in mono), as well as two versions of “Sexy Sadie” (the first introduced by the playful and irreverent rock and roll improvisation “Fuck A Duck”). Another rarity is “Come And Get It,” composed by Paul McCatney in 1969 for the film “Magic Christian” and originally recorded by Badfinger.
