Description

Pressed by Orange Records of Orlando, Florida, on limited-edition marble-colored vinyl, this unofficial LP, as the title suggests, contains only acoustic tracks. On the first side, a “Yesterday” without string quartet performed by Paul McCartney on vocals and guitar is followed by his demo of “We Can Work It Out” taped at John Lennon’s house in Weybridge, the version of “A Day in the Life” released on “Anthology” without orchestra and overdubs with commentary by George Martin, “Your Mother Should Know” with Paul on piano and Ringo on drums, the skiffle-style “demo version” of “The One After 909,” a demo of “Heather” recorded by McCartney with Donovan but never released for sale, an acoustic demo of “Don’t Let Me Down” recorded by Lennon, and the medley recorded by “Macca” during the “Let It Be” sessions, along with the unreleased “Suicide.” Side B includes further demos by Paul (“Goodbye”, later given to Mary Hopkin), Lennon (an acoustic demo of “Cold Turkey” and a very rare piano demo from the B-side of “Let It Be”; “You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)”; and George Harrison (for “My Sweet Lord”, “Art Of Dying” excluded from “Abbey Road”; and “Sour Milk Sea”, later given to Jackie Lomax), as well as an early monitor mix of “Here, There And Everywhere”.
