The 9th volume of the epic project to record all of The Beatles’ recordings.
This is the final chapter of the popular series that thoroughly follows the Beatles’ journey in chronological order, including studio recordings officially recorded as The Beatles, as well as outtakes and unreleased songs that have not been officially released. This follows the process of creating songs related to “Magical Mystery Tour”, which began immediately after the completion of the album “Sgt. Pepper’s”. A psychedelic and mysterious bus trip. Based on Paul’s idea to further push the fictional band Sgt. Pepper’s, they first recorded “Magical Mystery Tour”. At the same time, they also started creating new songs for the animated film “Yellow Submarine”.
After recording “All Together Now” and “It’s All Too Much”, they held an event in June to perform new songs live via satellite broadcast around the world, and completed “All You Need Is Love”. In August, their manager, B. Epstein, suddenly died. In the midst of their grief, the Beatles banded together in this big pinch and aimed to complete “Magical Mystery Tour”. After John’s “I Am the Walrus”, in which he absorbs all elements like a black hole and his delusions become exaggerated, Paul’s songwriting also showed its brilliance, and he produced new songs one after another, such as “Fool on the Hill” and “Hello Goodbye”. It was a fulfilling eight months from April to November 1967. The last song to close the group was “Christmastime Is Here Again”, a new song that was quietly released only on a fan club record. Contains an unreleased, uncut, complete 6 minute 48 second version that shows the four of them enjoying themselves while recording in a friendly atmosphere . It seems like a microcosm of the Beatles up until now, with the four of them creating songs together. This is because this was the last recording for the fan club, and the four of them would never enter the studio together again. This is the ninth volume in the popular series that thoroughly records all of The Beatles’ studio work in chronological order, including unreleased songs!
