The four tracks recorded in mono and included on this unofficial 7-inch vinyl EP released by 1960’s Records document the Beatles’ radio session for the BBC’s “Saturday Club” at London’s Playhouse Theatre on January 7, 1964, in the midst of a 16-date residency at the Finsbury Park Astoria. It was their eighth appearance on the show hosted by Brian Matthew, and their performance aired on February 15, by which time the Fab Four had also begun their conquest of the United States. The setlist included two songs written by Lennon and McCartney (“All My Loving” and “I Wanna Be Your Man”) and two covers, Barrett Strong’s “Money” and Chuck Berry’s “Roll Over Beethoven.”
