Description

The four tracks recorded in mono and included on this unofficial 7-inch vinyl EP released by 1960’s Records document the Beatles’ session for the BBC radio show “Saturday Club” at London’s Playhouse Theatre on July 30, 1963, sandwiched between dates of a six-night residency they were then playing at the Gaumont Cinema in Bournemouth. The show aired on August 24, the day after the UK release of the single “She Loves You,” which the Fab Four performed on the show along with its B-side “I’ll Get You” (played on radio for only the second time) and covers of the Isley Brothers’ “Twist and Shout” and Little Richard’s “Long Tall Sally.”
