Description

Pressed in a limited edition on clear vinyl, “The Beatles Rule Britannia!” collects ten songs recorded by the Fab Four at Twickenham Studios in January 1969, during the famous “Get Back” sessions documented in Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s film “Let It Be” and later in Peter Jackson’s “The Beatles: Get Back” series. All tracks are officially unreleased on record and include versions of “Dig a Pony,” “I’ve Got a Feeling,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Get Back,” and “One After 909,” as well as studio improvisations and impromptu versions of Elvin Mendsley’s “Singing the Blues” (especially famous in Guy Mitchell’s rendition), the 1740 patriotic song “Rule, Britannia!”, and Johnny Cash’s “I Walk the Line.”
