Expensive Woodland Recordings collects in an unofficial 6-CD box set the Beatles’ recordings taken entirely, according to the title, from radio broadcasts: on this occasion, however, the program does not only include original titles and covers from the quartet’s early period (including standards such as “Besame Mucho”, “The Midnight Special”, “The House Of The Rising Sun”, “You Really Got A Hold On Me” by Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, “Don’t Be Cruel” by Elvis Presley and “You Win Again” by Hank Williams), but also masterpieces from their maturity (“Yesterday”) and from the last phase of their life such as “Get Back” (also available in German and in “fast” and “slow” versions), “Across The Universe”, “Let It Be”, “Golden Slumbers”, “Blackbird”, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” and other pieces taken from albums such as the “White Album”, “Abbey Road” and “Let It Be”. The lineup does not follow a chronological criterion.
