Specializing in picture disc and limited edition vinyl reissues, London-based The Art Of Vinyl Music Ltd has released a limited edition colored vinyl reissue of the Beatles’ legendary first single, released in the UK by Parlophone on October 5, 1962. As fans know, it contains the songs “Love Me Do” and “PS I Love You,” both produced by George Martin and credited to Lennon and McCartney (this version features Ringo Starr on drums, replaced by Andy White on the version included on the album of the same name and the American single). “Love Me Do” peaked at number 17 in the UK charts in November 1962, reaching number one in Australia and New Zealand in 1964 when Beatlemania was exploding worldwide.
