BEATLES – LIVE FROM MELBOURNE 1964

1960’S – 1 LP Pressed by 1960s Records on limited-edition vinyl (1,500 copies in total), this bootleg LP contains recordings of the two shows The Beatles played at Festival Hall in Melbourne on 17 June 1964 during their Australasian tour that year: the first took place at 6pm and the second at a quarter to 9pm. Twenty-two minutes of music from the Fab Four’s sixth and final show in the Australian city (in front of a total audience of 45,000 people) were broadcast on Channel 9 on 1 July as part of an hour-long special entitled “The Beatles Sing For Shell” (named after the oil company that sponsored the program); this LP includes the entire set, including the only song that did not make it to the air, “This Boy”.
