[Anthology 1 Alternates]
Beginning with a newly remixed version of “Free as a Bird,” the album features two tracks, “That’ll Be the Day” and “In Spite of All Danger,” the oldest surviving recordings, in true stereo. The Decca audition, originally in mono, has been remixed for clear, true stereo. Demo recordings that attracted attention at auctions are also included, all in improved quality. BBC recordings are also restored in true stereo. Most of the recording sessions were recorded in a different stereo mix from the originals, resulting in differences in both sound quality and editing, making the disc closer to the master recordings a clear contrast. Additionally, five live tracks from “Blackpool Night Out” in July 1964 are included in the first-ever upgraded sound source, recorded in astonishingly high-quality stereo demix. Also included is a fragmented rehearsal recording of “House of the Morning Sun” from the TV show “Shindig!” in October 1964, newly edited. The main live performance has also been reborn with a clearer and more powerful sound source.

[Anthology 2: Alternates]
Beginning with a newly remixed version of “Real Love,” this compilation brings together rare recordings from the band’s mid-period (1965-1968) period. The content differs from the original release, with a selection primarily consisting of studio recordings from the albums “Help!”, “Rubber Soul,” and “Revolver.” This compilation includes essential tracks like “Yesterday” and “Dreamer,” as well as the longest versions of “12-Bar Original,” “It’s All Too Much,” and “I Am the Walrus.” Studio outtakes from the box sets “Revolver” and “Sgt. Pepper’s” are also included, including mixes different from the originals and previously unreleased material, all of which have been remixed and edited. In addition, live recordings of “All You Need Is Love” (Shea Stadium) and the worldwide live broadcast of “All You Need Is Love” are included in a different stereo mix from the original versions.

[Anthology 3 Alternates]
Featuring rare recordings from the band’s final period, from the White Album, which showcased the four band’s individual personalities, to their final studio album, Abbey Road. The first half begins with the 10-minute “Revolution (Take 20),” a newly discovered and highly anticipated excavation overdubbed from Take 18. The first half primarily features rare White Album recordings not previously included on box sets. Also included are remastered rehearsal recordings of “Revolution” and “Yer Blues” from Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus, recently unearthed. The second half of the album features highlights from the “Get Back Sessions,” with the mono Twickenham Studios audio demixed to true stereo, as well as outtakes from the album “Abbey Road,” primarily audio not included in the box set. “Something,” “Here Comes the Sun,” and “Because” are all must-see tracks with upgraded, new mixes.

This release differs from the original in content, featuring mixes first seen in the 2025 anthology, newly edited outtakes never before seen in the series, and even a documentary of the new songs from the anthology project: “Free as a Bird,” “Real Love,” and “Now and Then.” The live recordings featured in the anthology have been remixed, and outtakes have been replaced, though some incomplete recordings have been added with original editing. Many of the outtakes previously unreleased in the series are newly edited and primarily appearing for the first time, making this a must-see. Finally, the album features a rare documentary of the three artists, Paul, George, and Ringo, creating new songs, as well as naked versions of “Free as a Bird,” “Real Love,” and “Now and Then,” without overdubs, that are closer to the originals. This is a noteworthy new 2026 compilation that differs from previous anthology compilations.
