The Summit, Houston, TX, USA 24th June 1977 STEREO SBD(from Original Masters)

★UPGRADE!!!
AEROSMITH in 1977 swept the world with a succession of historic masterpieces. Here is a soundboard album that will let you experience the live performance of that climax in your brain.
The work that is permanently preserved in this work is the “June 24, 1977 Houston Performance”. It is a stereo soundboard recording. Speaking of 1977, even the legendary first visit to Japan was a memorable one, and it was one of the most famous recordings in the world and in the 1970s. We have archived many masterpieces in our shop. In addition to organizing the collection, let’s take a look at the overview of the activities in their heyday.

●1977

“DRAW THE LINE Tour”

・August 13th-27th: Europe #2 (7 shows)
・September 28th-December 8th: North America #4a (19 shows)
《December 9th “DRAW THE LINE” released》
・December 10th-27th: North America #4b (6 shows) ←※LARGO 1977
This is AEROSMITH in 1976/1977. In 1977, two tours, “ROCKS Tour” and “DRAW THE LINE Tour”, intersected, but the switch was a bit surprising. The album was released in December, but the tour switch was almost half a year before that. The “DRAW THE LINE Tour” began with “North America #3” in June, and this Houston performance was the third performance. This was the second consecutive performance in Houston, and this work was also the first day.
Such shows have been known for their pro shots for a long time, but this work is a different soundboard master. It is a stereo master that is different from the video sound that was completely mono. In fact, there are two types of video and the story is complicated, so let’s organize them here.
●A: Long-length pro shot on the first day
Multi-camera pro shot of the first day in Houston, “June 24th”, which is also familiar as a gift from our store. The sound is a sound board, but unlike this work, it is mono.
●B: Official reprint pro shot
This pro shot was released as part of the band’s 50th anniversary project, and “HOUSTON 1977: UPGRADE (Shades 1580)” has become a standard in our shop. It is a digest work of about 1 hour, with the highest quality and a mix of the two Houston performances “June 24th + 25th”.
●C: Stereo soundboard on the first day (this work)
Stereo soundboard on the first day in Houston, June 24th. The quality is higher than the sound of “A” above and it is longer than “B”.
…And so it is. This work is “C”, and it is not just stereo, but the sound quality itself is of higher quality than “A”. Unlike the “A” sound, which was sparse/flat, there is plenty of response in the midrange, and the balance from treble to deep bass is also excellent. It is a dynamic sound that approaches “B”.
And what overwhelms “B” is the full show of about 82 minutes. Here, let’s organize the set by comparing it not only with “HOUSTON 1977: UPGRADE” but also with the latest sound board “DEFINITIVE FUKUOKA 1977 (Zodiac 740)”.
●Dark Night Heavy Rock (5 songs)
・Big Ten Inch Record (★) / Adam’s Apple (*) / Sweet Emotion / Walk This Way / Toys in the Attic
●Other (11 songs)
・Fly! Aerosmith: SOS (Too Bad) / Lord Of The Thighs / Same Old Song and Dance / Train Kept A Rollin’ (★)
・Rocks: Rats In The Cellar / Lick And A Promise / Sick As A Dog
・Other: Mama Kin / Dream On / Draw The Line (*) / Rattlesnake Shake (★*)
*Note: “★” marks songs that were not included in the official video version of “HOUSTON 1977: UPGRADE”. “*” marks songs that were not included in the Japan tour soundboard “DEFINITIVE FUKUOKA 1977”.
This is the highest peak soundboard album that allows you to enjoy a full show in the golden 70s. Press 2CD permanently preserves the cultural heritage master that pours scorching live performances into your brain with quality that exceeds the professional shot version. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.

★Stereo soundboard recording of the “June 24, 1977 Houston performance”. This is a stereo master that is different from the completely mono Pro Shot sound, and the sound quality itself is high quality. Unlike the Scaly/Flattery Pro Shot sound, there is plenty of response in the midrange, and the balance from treble to deep bass is also excellent. This is the highest peak of the soundboard album where you can enjoy a full show at the height of its climax.
