Description
Cow Palace, Daly City, CA, USA 27th August 1976
AEROSMITH in 1976, when the masterpiece “ROCKS” reached No. 3 in the US and was at the peak of the golden 70s. Here is a treasured live album that will bring that glorious scene to your home.
The permanent preservation of this work is the “August 27, 1976 Daily City Performance”. It is the best audience recording. Speaking of the “ROCKS Tour”, it was the heyday when the legendary first visit to Japan was realized, and our shop has archived as many masterpieces as possible. In addition to organizing the collection, let’s first take a look at the activity outline at that time with a schedule.

This is AEROSMITH in 1976/1977. The legendary first visit to Japan was realized at the beginning of 1977, but the Daily City performance of this work was about five months before that. It was the 56th performance of “North America # 1”, which was also the main leg of the tour.
This work, which recorded such a show, is a superb audience with a very thick and fresh impact. It is a master brought to us by our own route, and was discovered very recently. It is just ferociously clear and beautiful. It is not mistaken for a sound board in terms of tone, but the core that does not feel the distance is powerful and full of directness, and the details that are clearly drawn even to the subtleties of the subtleties are very fine. It is not inferior to the legendary sound board “DEFINITIVE FUKUOKA 1977 (Zodiac 740)” that first came to Japan.
And what’s even more shocking is the freshness. It seems to have been digitized directly from the master cassette, and there are no dubbing marks or deterioration over time. The high notes extend straight to the end, and there is no distortion or distortion in the midrange. The vibe of the heavy bass, which tends to be crushed, is velvety smooth.
Such a lustrous master sound depicts the great performance of AEROSMITH in his prime, enjoying the spring of our world. The set is different from the primary day, so let’s organize it here by comparing it with the press masterpiece “DEFINITIVE FUKUOKA 1977”.

…And so it is. “Jailhouse Rock” and “Peter Gunn”, which are played seamlessly like a medley from “Get The Lead Out”, are famous covers but quite rare. In particular, “Jailhouse Rock” is a delicious point that has only been recorded once in 1990.
It’s hard to say whether this is the complete form of the show (this day was a coupling concert with Rick Derringer/SPIRIT), but dense rock blew through the approximately one hour recording time. The performance was full of confidence and response during the big hit, and the fierce tension was even more intense than the first visit to Japan. The mood of the site, which was getting excited (while still being overwhelmed by the performance), was in full swing! It makes you feel like it.
The sense of scale may be higher in the revived GEFFEN era, but the heat of scorching rock is still nothing like the 70’s AEROSMITH. This work is a new masterpiece of an experiential album that allows you to feel the scene in the home country, which was at its peak even in that heyday. A masterpiece of the highest peak master direct brought by a unique route. Please enjoy the press CD that will forever tell the story of the brilliance.
