Douglas County Fair, Roseburg, OR, USA 9th August 1990 Second Show

The golden four members reunited in 1990, performing as their original selves. This newly discovered, superb live album serves as their official release!

This album features a recording of the “Rooseberg performance on August 9, 1990 (2nd show).” It’s a stereo soundboard recording of their appearance at the Douglas County Fair music festival. Although BTO released a reunion album in 1984, the golden lineup, including the return of Robbie Bachman and Blair Thornton, only performed together from 1988 to 1991. Even during that period, they didn’t undertake a full-fledged world tour, and their activities were sporadic. This album is a soundboard recording that reveals the truth of that precious era.

[A new series of superb soundboard recordings from a renowned excavation site]
This release comes from the familiar and prestigious “Krw_co.” Apparently, they recently unearthed a vast soundboard collection, most of which consists of previously unknown recordings. This release is the first in a new series.

The fact that this is their first appearance is shocking enough, but what’s even more amazing is the quality itself. The roar of the crowd is distant and sounds like it’s directly connected to the mixing console, but the crucial instrumental sounds and vocals are absolutely superb. It’s what you’d call a “perfectly official” soundboard recording. Randy’s guitar and Fred’s bass and vocals are incredibly clear and direct. It’s the kind of quality that makes you wonder, “Did they officially make a live album?!”

[A Reunion Greatest Hits Album Concentrated with Their Past Hits]
This album, presented with a completely official-quality sound, is a super greatest hits album condensed with their past hits. When thinking of live performances from their reunion era, official releases like ‘BTO LIVE’ and ‘LIVE! LIVE! LIVE!’ come to mind, but the selection on this album is similar yet different. Let’s check out the setlist while comparing them here.

● Not Fragile (4 songs)
– Not Fragile / Rock Is My Life, And This Is My Song / You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet / Roll On Down The Highway
● Others (3 songs + 5 songs)
– Bachman Turner Overdrive: Gimme Your Money Please / Blue Collar / Hold Back the Water (★)
– Others: Let It Ride / Hey You / House Of The Rising Sun (★) / Four Wheel Drive / Taking Care Of Business
*Note: Songs marked with “★” were not available on the official ‘BTO LIVE’ or ‘LIVE! LIVE! LIVE!’.

…And that’s how it is. A selection of masterpieces that condense the best of their first four albums, centered around ‘NOT FRAGILE’. You can also enjoy “Hold Back the Water” and “House Of The Rising Sun,” which you couldn’t hear on ‘BTO LIVE’ or ‘LIVE! LIVE! LIVE!’.

And the ones who put together that set are “those four.” While Tim Bachman and Gary Patterson were behind “BTO LIVE” and “LIVE! LIVE! LIVE!”, this film features Robbie and Blair together.

This new masterpiece is a stunning example of the immense power of Krw_co’s massive series of newly unearthed soundboard recordings, which is set to continue for the next few years. It’s a shockingly high-quality release that will leave you eagerly awaiting future releases. This is an absolute “official alternative” to the BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVE, pouring the golden lineup of the band into your brain. Please enjoy it to the fullest!
