Expensive Woodland Recordings is reissuing on two unofficial LPs the famous and much-bootlegged concert (recorded on a radio show) that Joy Division held on December 18, 1979, at the Paris nightclub Les Bains Douches during the tour promoting their debut album, “Unknown Pleasures.” Ian Curtis (vocals), Bernard Sumner (guitar and keyboards), Peter Hook (bass), and Stephen Morris (drums and percussion) performed six songs from the album (including “She’s Lost Control” and “Shadowplay”), five previews from the follow-up, “Closer,” the famous singles “Transmission” and “Love Will Tear Us Apart” (with its B-side, “These Days”), and “Warsaw” (from the debut EP, “An Ideal For Living”).
