This popular album, which was recorded in its entirety from the sound check of the 1977 live performance at the time of the release of the band’s second album, with a superb stereo soundboard recording, has been upgraded with the latest transfer!~

The two-set live performance at the Old Waldorf in San Francisco on September 21, 1977, which coincided with the release of their second album, “Blondie: Plastic Letters,” was digitally transferred directly from the pre-reel master recorded by FM station KSAN. The same label’s previously released “MY OBSESSION -LOST PRE-REELS 1977- (TOTH2242)” features official, premium stereo soundboard recordings. This release features a newly digitally transferred recording, correcting the pitch instability caused by tape positioning that was not fully corrected on the previous release, resulting in a clearer, more upgraded sound quality. The recording includes the complete recording, including the pre-show soundcheck rehearsal. The first set begins with the Rolling Stones’ 1960s hit “My Obsession,” a number the Stones themselves never performed live, and Iggy Pop’s “Funtime.” The final three songs of the second show are back-to-back renditions of the Yardbirds’ “Heart Full of Love.” The band played a medley of “Soul,” including the Runaways’ “I Love Playing With Fire,” which they also played during soundcheck, and The Doors’ “Moonlight Drive.” The first show focused on numbers from their debut album, while the second show focused on numbers from their second album. This is a must-listen for fans, arguably their best live album, including rare covers of early Blondie songs!
