Description

In June 1976, Genesis’ “Trick of the Tail Tour” stopped for six nights at London’s Hammersmith Odeon. The second of those shows (June 10) was broadcast live on the radio but had never been released on vinyl until now. Parachute Recordings filled the gap by releasing the entire set on two unofficial double LPs. The first contains eight tracks: two from the new album and the rest from the “Peter Gabriel period,” with three selections from “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway,” two from “Selling England By The Pound,” and one from the older “Trespass.” Bill Bruford is the additional drummer for the quartet consisting of Phil Collins (lead vocals, percussion and drums), Tony Banks (Hammond organ, Mellotron, electric piano, harpsichord, synthesizers, 12-string guitar and backing vocals), Steve Hackett (electric and 12-string guitar) and Mike Rutherford (bass, Moog bass pedals, electric and 12-string guitar, backing vocals).
