Released in July 1983, this album spawned five hit singles, including her debut single “Everybody,” which debuted at number one on the dance club charts, “Holiday,” and “Lucky Star.” Since her worldwide breakthrough, Madonna has sold over 10 million copies and is considered one of the most iconic albums of the ’80s, influencing countless female artists since. CD 1 features single edits and remixes of every track on the album, compactly edited into a short version. The second half of the set features outtakes from the album’s recording sessions, as well as previously unreleased tracks. Additional rarities from the same period, such as Jellybean’s “Side Talk” and an unreleased track with Otto von Werner, have also been added. CD2 features a collection of rare demos recorded before and after the album’s production with original producer Reggie Lucas. These unfinished, rough demos, featuring different vocal arrangements and compositions, are newly remastered for high-quality sound.
