Description
PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, PA, USA 11th November 2025 AMAZING SHOT!!!
This DVD series features Paul’s latest “GOT BACK” tour, which has been highly acclaimed. This time, it’s the Pittsburgh performance that took place just a week ago. It’s really convenient that we now live in a time when even the latest live performances can be easily viewed.
The footage that was the basis for this DVD release was shot from the balcony on the left side of the stage, which is fantastic, as opposed to all of the previous “GOT BACK” tour YouTube videos that were shot from the front of the stage.
Although the angle gives a basic view of the entire stage, the close-ups of the musicians on stage, including Paul, are effective and very easy to see. In addition, there is no obstruction by the audience in front, which is common with images from the front of the stage.
What’s impressive is that because the angle captures the entire stage, the footage doesn’t fall into the monotony of just shooting the pole, but also captures the band members at various points, making for a never-boring shot.
For example, the moment when Rusty Anderson decides to duckwalk in “Got to Get You Into My Life” is perfect. And yet, it is also attractive that the piano corner in the first half of the live performance is captured at a very good angle.
Above all, I’m so happy to be able to see the opening song “Help!”, the highlight of this “GOT BACK” tour, from such a calm angle. It reminds me once again of what a great opening song it is.
Although the shoot was on a balcony, there were rare occasions when the camera would lose its composure. For example, there was a part in “Dance Tonight” where the smartphone became unstable, but the reason for this became clear later.
Also on this day, there were some unusual happenings for Paul’s live performance, with Rusty redoing the intro on “I’ve Just Seen a Face” and Paul playing the guitar too early on the finale “The End”.
Such scenes are also captured at angles that are easy to see, making it a record of a day with many highlights not only in terms of image quality but also in terms of content.
The highlight is “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,” where the cameraman moves around the balcony to get a closer position, and the staircase is shown instead of the stage. The “Dance Tonight” disturbance was the first attempt at changing position.
A brave change of position allowed for even closer angles from “Band on the Run” onwards. The powerful shots from the audience, particularly during “Live and Let Die”, are unlike any other video footage of this tour.
The latest video from Pittsburgh was already worth watching, but thanks to the cameraman’s bold decision, the angles in the second half of the live performance were even more impressive!
