This premium stereo soundboard recording captures the April 3 performance in Munich from the Miles Davis Quintet’s 1960 European tour. The high-quality master used in recent digital rebroadcasts has been newly remastered to achieve official, flawless sound balance. Bonus tracks include a session in San Francisco just before the tour departed. While the sound quality of these bonus tracks is somewhat rough, reflecting their age, they represent a rare recording of an experimental sextet featuring vibraphonist Buddy Montgomery, making them a treasured treasure for enthusiasts. Both sources have been remastered in 2021, ensuring the best possible sound quality.
