Description
A valuable release on the Gemini label, which draws on the radio program broadcast at the time by the WLIR-FM station in Garden City, Long Island, to bring to LP the recording of the live performance that Gram Parsons gave on March 13, 1973 at the Ultra Sonic Recording Studios in Hempstead, New York. As in the sessions for his first solo album “GP” released two months earlier, it is the voice of the then unknown Emmylou Harris that duets and harmonizes splendidly with that of the bandleader supported by the Fallen Angels, a lineup assembled to accompany him on tour and which then included Jock Bartley on electric guitar, Neil Flanz on pedal steel guitar, ND Smart II on drums and Kyle Tullis on bass.
