On August 11, 1979, about three months after the release of their fourth masterpiece “WAVE”, a live performance at the famous CBGB in New York was recorded with high quality stereo sound board recording on an FM broadcast source, and the latest remastered version is now available! Recorded from the broadcast source by WNEW-FM, it has been newly remastered and can be enjoyed with even clearer sound quality. On this day, an afternoon performance was held at Wollman Rink, a public ice rink in Central Park, New York, and this work records an evening performance held at CBGB. The set list featured five songs from the new album “WAVE” at the time, which was a bigger hit than the previous album, including the singles “Frederick” and “Dancing Barefoot”. It also included many covers such as Manfred Mann’s cover 5-4-3-2-1, John Lennon’s cover Cold Turkey, Yardbirds’ cover For Your Love, Bob Dylan’s cover All Along The Watchtower, and the rock and roll classic Twist and Shout by the Beatles.
